| A Unique Partnership with the Lincoln University of Missouri Thea Bowman Preparatory Academy and the Lincoln University of Missouri, Department of Education have developed a collaborative, educational partnership. The main focus of this partnership is to provide professional and curricular support for the faculty at Thea Bowman Prep. Additionally, this relationship will provide Lincoln University pre-service teachers with an opportunity to interact with our teachers working in an urban school environment. Geographic distance is not an obstacle for such a partnership because our work will be accomplished through the distance-learning capabilities (video-conferencing, teleconferencing, and email) of the University and regularly scheduled visits. Lincoln University of Missouri is a state-supported, fully accredited HBCU, which has a long and successful history of working with under-served learner populations in local and state-wide educational communities. The University’s Department of Education has a technology-rich teacher education program and is a Missouri higher education site for the eMINTS (enhancing Missouri’s Instructional Networked Teaching Strategies) program. We are excited to be partners with this historic and innovative university.
